Step 1: Add Your Animals

Start by registering your livestock. For each animal you'll need:

  • Tag number (the physical tag on the animal)
  • Species (cattle, goat, sheep, pig)
  • Gender and date of birth
  • Camp or paddock location
Tip: You can also upload a photo of each animal for easy identification.

Step 2: Set Up Health & Vaccinations

Once animals are added, the Health Dashboard automatically calculates which vaccinations are due based on their age.

  • Go to Health → view upcoming and overdue vaccinations
  • Mark vaccinations as done to keep records up to date
  • Log treatments, illnesses, vet visits, and deworming
Tip: Ask your admin to set up Vaccination Schedules for your standard protocols first.

Step 3: Record Breeding Events

Track mating, pregnancies, and births to monitor your herd's reproduction performance.

  • Select the sire (male) and dam (female) from your herd
  • Record the mating date
  • Confirm pregnancy and set the expected delivery date
  • Log births — number born, alive, and stillborn
Tip: The system calculates expected delivery dates automatically based on species gestation periods.

Step 4: Track Your Finances

Keep a record of all farm income and expenses to understand your profitability.

  • Log income: animal sales, wool, milk, etc.
  • Log expenses: feed, veterinary costs, medicines, equipment
  • Attach a photo of receipts for record keeping
  • Filter by species or date range
Tip: Regular financial entries make the Reports page much more valuable.

Step 5: View Reports & Analytics

Get insights into your farm's performance over time.

  • View species distribution, mortality trends, and breeding success
  • Track financial overview and growth rates
  • Build custom dashboards for the metrics that matter to you
Tip: Reports become more powerful the more data you have entered over time.

Step 6: Check Your Dashboard Daily

The Dashboard gives you a quick overview of your farm's status at a glance.

  • Total animals by species and status
  • Upcoming health events and alerts
  • Recent financial activity
  • Breeding events in progress
Tip: Make it a habit to check the dashboard each morning.
